Hello Higher-Minded Humans!
I began this post yesterday, but as my favorite astrologer Chani Nicholas says, this is a wonky time for technical issues. My laptop got the memo, so it’s a day late.
Lughnasadh is August 1st, and it marks the first harvest, when gardens begin to yield their bounty. Pagans honored agricultural deities such as Diana, and modern witches still take this time to connect with rural roots.
August is also a big birthday month for Your Highness Podcast and me! Our first-born podcast was born in the middle of a hurricane, in 2017.
To celebrate and reflect on our gratitude, we’re highlighting some awesome gifts we received recently. One of the best gifts a member of the media can receive is a review of their work. Recently, Frank Racioppi graciously offered to do this with our Getting Personal with Plant Medicine Podcast. (check it out here)
“As a host, Diana-Ashley Krach excels because of her encyclopedic knowledge of the topic, her no-nonsense interview skills, and the uniqueness of her laugh — unabashed and thunderous. In her episodes, Krach doesn’t delay and dives into the topic at hand.”
Another gift is our latest sponsor, Spendr, because not only are they helping us pay the bills, but they are also helping other people pay for their plant medicine. It cannot be overstated how important it is to us that we align with brands and services that will add value to us and our audience. If you have spent time in a cannabis retail space, or if you sell cannabis products, you are no stranger to payment processor issues.
And finally, the gift we gave ourselves after 7 years, is a professional recording studio! To be clear, we don’t own it, but we are now members of a local space, and we plan on doing more than podcast episodes there.
ICYMI: Our first studio episode of YH is live, with a local look at the NYC cannabis scene.
And over at GPPM, Gabby Pavelko went deep into the parallels between seaweed and weed, and how the former is an underrated wellness tool.
Until next time, stay high and beautiful.
